Isotonic (isotonic)

Definition and Illustration:

isotonicity (Greek iso = equal, tonos = voltage) describes the tonic relationship between two fluids, where the osmotic pressure between the outer and inner medium is virtually identical. The number of dissolved particles in the liquid and the comparison medium are therefore the same.
As a result, exactly as much water flows into the cell, as well as flows out or takes place due to the equilibrium, no exchange at all between the liquids.
